Backend update of the PSGAMES website - what's new?

We have completed extensive improvements to the PSGAMES website to improve your user experience and make the game rental process faster and easier. Below we will describe in detail what changes have been made and how they will affect the operation of the platform.

1. Improved link structure

Previously, product links looked like this: psgames.pro/product/number, now they have become more readable and SEO-friendly: psgames.pro/product/game-name.

What does this give?

• Improved navigation for users.
• Increasing the indexing of pages by search engines.
• More convenient links for sharing.

In addition, all old links have been redirected to new ones to avoid errors and keep the site running.

2. Added information about products

Now each game page contains additional data:

• Release date games.
• Developer (studio or publishing company).

This information is automatically added to the product card and helps you navigate the catalog faster.

3. Update the list of new products

Previously, games in the "New Items" section were sorted by the date they were added to the store. Now the display of goods takes into account the real date inthe release of the game, and not the moment it is uploaded to the site. This allows users to quickly find the latest industry news.

4. New information block on the main page

We have added a new block with important information before the recently viewed items section. Now users will be able to immediately see current news, promotions and other useful information about the service.

5. Optimizing Images for SEO

Now all images on the site are automatically generated titles and descriptionswhich improves:

• Indexing of pages in search engines.
• User convenience (descriptions are visible when you hover over the image).
• Visual perception of the site.

Examples:

• For the game cover: "Cover [title andgame]".
• For screenshots: "Screenshot from [title andgame]".

6. Full 404 page

Previously, if the user entered an incorrect address, he was automatically redirected to the main page. Now a full-fledged 404 error page, where it will be indicated that the page was not found, and a link to the main page will also be added.

7. Interface improvements

We have made many changes to the visual part of the site, including:

• A section “Promotions” and “Promo codes” has appeared in the main menu.
• Improved fonts and background image in the mobile version.
• Tags and display of product cards have been adjusted so that long names do not spread across the blocks.

8. The registration and authorization system has been completely updated

Now the process of logging into the site has become easier and safer:  Authorization window with a convenient input form.  Password recovery via mail.  Registration with confirmation via SMS code.  Antispam protection (captcha after several unsuccessful attempts).

9. New shopping cart and shopping functionality

Now the cart is on the website:

• Available on all pages (home, product, personal account).
• Shows status (empty/with goods).
• Allows you to select the rental period (up to 10 weeks).
• Allows you to enter promotional codes to receive a discount.
• Separates rights for authorized and unauthorized users (without logging in you cannot proceed to payment).

After successful payment, the user is transferred to his personal account, where an active order with a rental timer immediately appears.

10. New personal account

Now in LC:

• Current order is shown (game name, rental timer, activation type, final price).
• Added rental timer (interactive, zooms out in real time).
• You can request a 2FA code to log in to the console.
• It is possible to extend the lease (but not more than 10 weeks).
• Order history available with the ability to view details.
• Added settings section (password change, data editing).
• There is a block with support (quick links to help and instructions).

11. Improved admin panel

Added for the site owner:

• Flexible order management (view active and completed rentals, change status).
• Adding and editing products and accounts.
• Viewing User Information (blocking, changing data, resetting password).
• Creation and management of promotional codes (limitations on the number of activations and validity period).
• 2FA code system (automatic generation and linking to accounts).
