What's included

Credit & debit cards

Visa, Mastercard, Amex through Stripe or your preferred payment processor. Funds settle in 1–2 business days.

Apple Pay & Google Pay

One-tap checkout on mobile — the fastest way to reduce cart abandonment on smartphones.

BNPL / Buy now, pay later

Klarna, Afterpay, Affirm — shoppers pay in installments, you receive the full amount upfront. Increases AOV by 20–40%.

PCI DSS compliant

Secure payment form hosted by the processor — card data never touches your server. Full compliance out of the box.

Choosing the right payment stack for your store

The payment setup directly affects conversion. A checkout that redirects to a third-party page, asks too many fields, or doesn't support Apple Pay can lose 20–40% of orders at the final step. Getting this right matters more than almost any other design decision.

For most stores, Stripe is the right core: excellent developer API, supports 135+ currencies, cards, wallets, BNPL and local payment methods. PayPal adds an additional checkout option that some shoppers prefer. BNPL integrations boost average order value on higher-ticket items.

Security and compliance

We integrate payments using hosted payment forms — the processor handles the sensitive card data, your store is never in scope for full PCI DSS compliance. All payment pages use HTTPS with a valid SSL certificate. Order confirmations are sent automatically with a receipt or invoice.

FAQ

Stripe — the primary choice for most stores: supports Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay, Google Pay, SEPA, iDEAL, and BNPL via Stripe Installments. PayPal — preferred by a segment of shoppers who trust it implicitly. Square — good for businesses that also sell in person. Klarna, Afterpay, Affirm — BNPL for higher-ticket products. Local payment methods on request.

On the order page the customer selects their payment method, enters card details in a secure hosted form from the processor (never stored on your server), and clicks Pay. On mobile, Apple Pay or Google Pay triggers a single Face ID or fingerprint confirmation. After successful payment, the order status updates automatically and a confirmation email is sent to both the customer and you.

Stripe standard payout: 2 business days after the charge. With Instant Payouts (available in some markets), funds arrive within 30 minutes for a small fee. PayPal: typically 1–3 business days to your PayPal balance, then another 1–3 days to your bank. BNPL providers pay you the full amount immediately at the time of purchase.

Yes. Stripe Billing handles subscription management: trial periods, multiple pricing tiers, annual vs. monthly billing, automatic card updates for expired cards, and proration. We build the subscription logic into your store's checkout and customer account area.

Yes. We configure deposit-first checkouts — for example, 30% at order and 70% before shipment — using payment intents that authorize the remaining amount without requiring the customer to re-enter card details. Order statuses track the payment lifecycle automatically.
